News Accountability Goals

In 2009, before Twitter became a household name and before we set up our Facebook presence, Relocation Nova Scotia created a support forum called “News, Accountability, Goals” - NAG for short.

Our aim in doing so was to bridge the gap between government websites and other expat forums for those who were still waiting to make the move and those already settled here.  Members found like minded people who helped and supported them throughout their immigration journey or were able to just find the answer to a simple question.  What started as a small group of six people quickly grew to one hundred and six members.

Many people are not ready to share their plans outside of their immediate circle and often find that it is hard to get others to understand the difficulties they face waiting in limbo for visas to arrive.  Other members simply want a safe and secure environment where they can voice fears and celebrate milestones and found Facebook too impersonal or too exposed

Despite the comment that we just get together for a “nag” we believe our network has much more to offer than the occasional place to meet up for a chat.  The forum serves as a useful tool for making each other accountable for taking the next step be it with your application or in moving forward in your new life - and yes we will NAG you if you don't do what you said you would!

This is not just another “expats” forum, NAG is accessed via invitation only.  This is a global network and the membership fee is $9.99 per year.
